Omicron Would Be Dominant Variant In London Within 48 Hours: UK Official

London At least one person has failed in the United Kingdom after contracting the Omicron coronavirus variant, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday, the first intimately verified death encyclopedically from the fleetly spreading strain. 
 Since the first Omicron cases were detected onNov. 27 in Britain, Johnson has assessed tougher restrictions and on Sunday advised that the variant could overcome the vulnerable defences of those invested with two shots of vaccines. 
 Britain gave no details on the death other than the person had been diagnosed in sanitarium. It wasn't clear if the case had been vaccinated or had beginning health issues. 

 Deaths from Omicron may have passed in other countries but none has been intimately verified yet outside Britain. 
" Sorely at least one case has now been verified to have failed with Omicron,"Johnson told journalists at a vaccination centre in London. 

" So I suppose the idea that this is ever a milder interpretation of the contagion-I suppose that is commodity we need to set (to) one side-and just honor the sheer pace at which it accelerates through the population."
 Health Secretary Sajid Javid said the variant now reckoned for 44 of infections in London and would be the dominant strain in the capital within 48 hours. New Omicron infections are estimated at per day, Javid said.
