NRA CET 2021: Find all important facts
by Rajat Tyagi consultantThe Indian government has approved a proposal shared by the
Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, to conduct a common
examination, Common Eligibility Test for
the existing recruiting agencies. A newly formed recruiting agency, National
Recruitment Agency will be responsible to conduct the Common Eligibility Test.
Now, candidates, don\'t need to attend separate
examinations for different government jobs. National Recruitment Agency CET
exam will provide many benefits to the job seekers which they are not getting
currently.
Initially, Common Eligibility Test will replace
the Tier-1 exam of Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Institute of Banking
Personnel Selection (IBPS), and Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs). Later on,
more agencies can participate in the CET exam by signing a Memorandum of
Understanding with the National Recruitment Agency.
Benefits
of the Common Eligibility Test:
Now all candidates will attempt only one common
eligibility test instead of attending the different examinations for different
jobs. It will save time and money and will help candidates to focus on their
study preparations.
National Recruitment Agency will arrange more
than 1000 centers across the country so that candidates can get the nearest
exam center. It will save candidates traveling costs and will help female
candidates and candidates belong to the urban areas.
Common Eligibility Test will be conducted in 12
different languages so that candidates can answer the questions if they wish to
do so.
States and Union Territories can also get the
CET score to conduct their recruitment.
Common EligibilityTest will be conducted for the
Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts, certain Group ‘B’ Gazetted posts, and Group ‘C’
(non-technical) posts in the government.
After the CET exam, candidates will get a CET
score which will be valid for 3 years. Candidates can improve their CET score
by attending other CET exam. There will be no restrictions on the number of
attempts and the best CET score will be taken into considerations while
shortlisting for a further level of the recruitment process.
There will be a common registration portal for all
candidates and an only one-time registration is required to apply for the CET
exam.
The syllabus and exam pattern for
the Common Eligibility Test would be the same. This will remove the extra
burden of candidates who will have to prepare separately for different exams
due to the difference in the Exam Pattern and Syllabus.
