5.      In the RemoveNortonMacFiles folder, control-click the RemoveNortonMacFiles.command file,

6.      Click “Open with” 

7.      Select Terminal (default).

8.      Perform one of the following:

Ø  If you have not uninstalled the Norton application on your macOS, a message appears in the Terminal window that prompts to drag and drop Norton from the Applications folder to Trash. Go to step 7.

9.      In the Terminal window, press return to open the Applications folder in Finder.

10.  In the Applications folder, select the Norton application and then drag and drop it to the Trash.

11.  When you see a prompt, type your administrator account password.

12.  Click OK.

13.  In the Norton installer window, click Uninstall.

14.  When the Norton uninstall finishes, run the RemoveNortonMacFiles.command file in Terminal again.

15.   In the Terminal window, type your administrator password, and then press return.

16.  To remove all Norton files and folders, type 1.

17.  If you want to quit RemoveNortonMacFiles without removing any files, type 2.

18.  Press return.

19.  RemoveNortonMacFiles tool removes all of the Norton files.

20.  When the RemoveNortonMacFiles tool finishes removing the Norton files, in the Terminal window, type y.

21.  Press return to restart your Mac.

22.  Before you press return, make sure that you save your work in other open applications.

Step 3: Install Norton

1.      Sign In to Norton.

2.      Enter your email address and password for Norton

3.      Click Sign In.

4.      In the Get Started window, click Download Norton.

5.      Click Agree & Download.

6.      Click OK to save

7.      Open the file.

8.      After finishing the download, double-click the Norton product Installer.

9.      Click Agree & Install to start the installation.

10.  If you see a prompt to join Norton Community Watch, click Join Now/May Be later.

11.  When you see a prompt, type your administrator account password, and then click Install Helper.

12.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

13.  In the Installation Successful window, click Restart

14.  Restart your computer to complete the installation process.
