Nokia 101 is a dual SIM phone mobile that is offering the fundamental features. This phone was launched in India during the month of August 2011. Nokia 101 is the fifth dual SIM mobile phone that Nokia has launched so far. It has been kept at a lower cost so that it can be easily afforded by all. It is available at a price range of Rs 1,799 in India. This phone works on Nokia’s S30 platform. Nokia 101 is available in two colors red and Black. This dual SIM mobile is one of the unique in this price range. Airtel is giving wonderful offer in this phone. It has promised to offer 100 minutes of free talk time from Airtel to Airtel customers for the first month and then subsequently about four hundred national and local SMS free each month. Apart from other basic features Nokia 101 is providing access to Life-Tool applications that enables fetching of information related to health care, education, entertainment, weather forecast and even agriculture. Nokia the king in the mobile industry has once again stirred the market with this low cost dual SIM mobile phone the Nokia 101. Nokia had recently suffered some disappointments after Apple phones had taken over the mobile market. However with the launch of 100 and 101 meant for broader section of people we are sure that Nokia will once again be able to hold the title.


Nokia 101 has a 1.8 inch TFT display and it is 14.9mm in thickness. One can store up to 500 phone book contacts and 250 SMS in its memory. It has 16GB of expandable memory. It runs on Li ion battery that has the capacity of 800mAh and provides talk time of maximum up to 6.7 hours and stand by time up to maximum of 25 days. You can also enjoy listening to your favorite songs through the FM radio. It also has a built in music player and an audio jack of 3.5mm thickness. It also has 103 loudspeaker output that amplifies the sound clarity. Nokia 101, besides offering the Dual SIM functionality also possesses a unique feature known as SIM manager which is capable of storing around 5 SIM cards. If we compare the Nokia 101 dual SIM mobile phone with other mobile phones of same functionality like Samsung hero or EX109 Motorola we will find that these phones are either costlier or lack some of the important features.
