New Technology Gives Musicians Freedom Of Wireless Control
Oslo, Norway (October 30th, 2016) - Aalberg Audio
recently launched their Kickstarter campaign for the MOON switcher. The
MOON can control any MIDI supported equipment, as well as effects pedals
and guitar amplifiers, giving the musician instant wireless control.
To
control the MOON, the musician can either use the Aalberg AERO remote
controller – a small, lightweight device that offers mobility and can
easily be positioned wherever it suits the musician – or the free
Aalberg REMOTE App; an app for tablets and smart phones.

In
total, the MOON provides four different modes: MIDI control, ABY
switching, FX-looping and footswitch functionality. Using the AERO or
the REMOTE app, up to eight MOONs can be controlled simultaneously. This
combination gives the possibility of controlling MIDI equipment,
routing signals, adjusting effects parameters and switching amplifier
channels with the single press of a button.
With the AERO always
within hands reach, a guitarist could control their entire rig
instantly. A rig that could consist of anything from Ableton Live and a
Kemper Profiler, to Strymon stompboxes and Marshall amps. All within the
AERO's wireless range of 100 feet (30 meters).
The REMOTE app
provides an overview of all connected devices, as well as multi-touch
parameter control and infinite storage of presets. This could be useful
e.g. for a sound engineer that needs remote access to the audio
equipment on stage during a performance.
“Using the same
generation of Bluetooth technology as the iPhone 7, our system has no
dropouts or latency, 30 hours of use on one charge, a range of 100 feet,
and with one click you can change your whole sound,” says Aleksander
Torstensen, CEO of Aalberg Audio. “Previously you would have needed some
very advanced and expensive gear to achieve this.”
“Now the
musician has complete freedom. They have control and flexibility that
brings new possibilities to how a song is played. It also enhances
instruments in new ways not previously possible.”
