The new Jeep Gladiator makes its European debut at Camp Jeep. European customers have had the first opportunity to get up close to the new Jeep Gladiator at Camp Jeep 2019, the annual gathering of all Jeep owners and enthusiasts, and the most important event on the Jeep Owners Group (JOG) calendar, which takes place celebrated in San Martino di Castrozza, in the heart of the Dolomites region, from July 12 to 14.

Produced in Toledo, Ohio, the new Jeep Gladiator is offered in three different trim levels: Sport, Overland, and Rubicon. It will reach dealerships in the Middle East in the first half of 2020 and in Europe at the end of next year. The Jeep Gladiator JT led headlights accessories are listed in the SEMA show for offroaders.

The new Jeep Gladiator features a robust and distinctive design that is instantly recognizable by traditional Jeep design details. The Jeep design team has kept the Wrangler's legendary seven-slot grille, but has widened the slots to bring in more air and help increase towing capacity. The arched top of the grille slopes gently to improve aerodynamics.

The Gladiator Overland and Rubicon models feature LED headlights and fog lights that cast crisp white light, adding to the modern look of the Gladiator. At the rear, the traditional square taillights feature optional LED lighting and allow a wide tailgate opening for easy loading into the box. The tailgate is damped and capable of stopping in three positions, while cargo is easily secured with a power-locking tailgate.

Smart functionality and versatility have come to the fore in designing the Gladiator's rugged case. Under-side panel lighting, an optional covered external power supply (230V), and rugged built-in fasteners offer durability and versatility. The optional Trail Rail Cargo Management System offers additional storage possibilities to organize and secure cargo.
Options like spray-applied box liner, spacer and box lid provide even more options to keep cargo secure, as well as improve durability. Gladiator Rubicon models are equipped with a protective cab and cargo bed footpegs.

A four-bolt design at the top of the windshield frame allows the windshield to fold quickly and easily. A bar at the top connects the A-pillars and stays in place even when the windshield is folded. This allows the rear view mirror to remain in place as well when folding the windshield.

The lightweight, high-strength aluminum doors feature Torx bit size indication directly on the hinge, eliminating doubts about which bit is needed to remove the doors. The tool kit with the Torx bits required to remove the doors and lower the windshield is provided as standard equipment.

Gladiator Overland and Rubicon models share the optional three-piece hardtop available in body color for a unique and exceptional look, plus a three-piece black hardtop, available on Rubicon models, offering even more. options for outdoor adventures. Two Freedom panels and quick-release fasteners allow for quick removal and installation of the hardtop. Dozens of different door, roof and windshield combinations allow for endless configuration possibilities.

The new Jeep Gladiator stands out for its comprehensive functionality and easy-to-use features

Exclusive to Rubicon models is a forward-facing off-road camera that makes it easy to see obstacles on the road. It is located behind the center slot of the Gladiator's seven-slot grille and its images can be accessed through the Off-road Pages. Fitted for the first time on a Jeep model, the front-facing camera adds to the functionality offered by the Gladiator, as well as enhancing safety when driving off-road.

For added convenience, the camera offers a self-cleaning feature that ensures it can stay clean after tackling the most extreme off-road situations.

The audio enhancement includes an optional subwoofer and a portable wireless speaker located behind the rear seat, allowing customers to take their music with them when they arrive at their destination, whether their journey ends on the beach or continues on extreme off-road routes. LED lights in the panel trims illuminate the storage compartment and the wireless speaker docking station.
Low consumption advanced propulsion systems

The new Jeep Gladiator range of engines offers the proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine (available only in markets outside of Europe, including the Middle East) and a new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine, which will be the only option for engine to be offered in Europe.

FCA US's 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine develops 209 kW (285 hp) and 347 Nm of torque and comes with Engine Stop-Start (ESS) as standard equipment. It is designed to provide a wide range of torque with a focus on low-end torque, an essential feature required for extreme off-road driving.

The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine will be available on all Gladiator models in Europe. This engine delivers approximately 191 kW (260 hp) and 600 Nm of torque, and is fitted with the Engine Stop-Start (ESS) device as standard. The EcoDiesel V-6 engine is designed and manufactured by FCA EMEA, and implements sophisticated turbocharger technology with a low-friction bearing designed for low-end and transient performance.

The new Jeep Gladiator offers an eight-speed automatic transmission, which allows the vehicle to optimize engine performance when driving on roads or enjoying a smooth and efficient power supply at high speeds. Eight-speed automatic transmission is standard on all Jeep Gladiator models and on all engine options.
Its traction

On the Gladiator Rubicon, the Rock-Trac 4x4 drive system features strong third-generation Dana 44 front and rear axles with a 4: 1 "4LO" ratio. Gladiator Rubicon models offer improved articulation and overall suspension travel, as well as the segment-exclusive electronic anti-roll bar disconnect. With the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, the Gladiator Rubicon has an impressive 77.2: 1 climb ratio, allowing you to easily overcome any obstacle on the road.

The Command-Trac and Rock-Trac systems offer full-time torque management, allowing optimal grip in low-traction conditions. The available Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential on Sport and Overland provides extra torque and grip in slippery and low-traction situations, such as driving on sand, gravel, snow or ice.
