New Bus Route To Connect King Of Prussia To New York City

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A new bus line will connect Montgomery County residents directly with the Big Apple.

The tech startup OurBus will be opening up a new line on Thursday that runs from King of Prussia and Fort Washington to midtown Manhattan.

OurBus routes to NYC will also run from Malvern and West Chester.

“We’re filling a much needed gap in the Philadelphia suburbs, targeting travelers in Montgomery and Chester Counties, who often have limited transportation options to New York City and surrounding areas,” said Narinder Singh, founder of OurBus, in a statement. “With OurBus’s Main Line route, we’re offering our customers all of the comforts they need to relax during their trip or to be more productive.” Book Bus Tickets

Fares will begin at just $10. On board, riders can enjoy charging stations, free WiFi, free bottled water, clean bathrooms, and reclining seats, the company said.

OurBus will depart from the following locations in the area:

  • West Chester, PA- Chestnut Street and High Street
  • Malvern, PA – Matthews Road Park & Ride lot
  • King of Prussia, PA – King of Prussia, PA Park & Ride lot
  • Fort Washington, PA – Summit Avenue Cul-de-sac, next to SEPTA Station

The bus leaving from King of Prussia on Thursday afternoon is anticipated to take about two and a half hours to reach New York City.

The bus drops passengers off on Park Avenue South between 26th and 27th in Manhattan.

OurBus focuses on “crowd-sourced” bus routes, allowing users to tell the company where they want a route and when they want to go. They have dedicated intercity routes, as well as commuter routes. The company now offers routes between New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Maryland, Ithaca, Binghamton, and Washington, D.C.
