BHMS Course 2017 | Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery Admission 2017

Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, New Delhi has invited applications for admission to Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) 5½ years Course for the academic year 2017-18.

Number of Seats

Number of Seats 85% Seats are reserved for the applicants who have passed their Class 11 & 12 from the Schools located in the NCT of Delhi. Remaining 15% seats are filled on all India Basis. The distribution of the total seats under different categories are as under:

85% Delhi Quota: Total Seats - 81 [Gen - 41, SC - 12, ST - 06, OBC - 22]

15% All India Quota: Total Seats - 15 [Gen - 08, SC - 02, ST - 01, OBC - 04]

Foreign Students 01+01(One seat is reserved for a foreign student and one for the student from Malaysia).

Seats reserved for State 02 (01 seat reserved for Jammu & Kashmir State and 01 for Mizoram State).

BHMS Eligibility Criteria 2017

The admission is open to students from all over India as well as to the foreign nationals. The academic qualifications and the age criteria for the BHMS admission are given below

Age Limit: Applicant must have attained or will attain 17 (Seventeen) years of age as on 31st December 2017.

Educational Qualifications

For 85% Delhi Quota Seats: Applicants seeking admission to BHMS course must have passed Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE)/Indian School Certificate Exam (12 years course) or any other equivalent exam recognized by the University of Delhi. Applicants must have scored 60% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subjects. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration rather only marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be considered.

For 15% All India Quota Seats (except Delhi quota): Applicants from all over India who have passed the prescribed qualifying exam from an Indian University/Board (12 years course) from a recognized school conducting regular classes or any other equivalent exam recognized by the University of Delhi for admission to Undergraduate courses with 60% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subject.

While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.

In respect of applicants with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% for Gen-Pwd and 40% Marks for SC-Pwd/ST-Pwd/OBC-Pwd are required.

Selection Process

In order to be selected for the admission to  BHMS courses for the academic year-2017 applicants must have obtain minimum 50% marks  in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-2017) conducted by CBSE.

However, in respect of applicants belonging to SC/ST & OBC the minimum marks shall be at 40%.

In respect of applicants with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks shall be at 45% for UR-PwD and 40thpercentile for SC-PwD, ST-PwD & OBC- PwD applicants.

BHMS Application Form 2017

All the applicants seeking admission to the Under-graduate (BHMS) course is required to register online on website www.fmsc.ac.in. Online registration details for admission to the Under-graduate (BHMS) course is available on www.fmsc.ac.in and www.du.ac.in.

As a first time user, the applicant shall create the login details. Applicant shall n log on to using “registered email-id” and created “password” to fill the online registration form.

Applicant shall click the “Save” and proceed to check the details filled in the form.

Applicant’s application submission process shall be completed only after payment of the online registration fees.

In case a applicant wishes to apply in more than one Course then the applicant is required to submit total fees as prescribed for each course applied.

Registration Fees (non-refundable)

For SC/ST and Person with Disabilities (PwD) - Rs. 550/-

For all other Categories (Unreserved,OBC etc.) - Rs.750/-

Registration fees have to be paid during online registration process through one of the available online payment options.
