Need to Learn the Italian Basics for Tourists and Beginners
Last week my friend Lucrezia, the host of Echi di Puglia in Polignano a Mare, called me to introduce me Michelle, a nice lady from England who was spending some days at her wonderful guest house.
I had a great conversation with her and she was so excited talking about her amazing holidays in our country: she started her trip in the North of the country, visiting the cities of Venezia and Verona in Veneto. There’s nothing more romantic than having a ride on a gondola through the Venetian channels and then visiting the Juliet balcony in Verona, the international temple of love!
Then she went to Milano, the Italian capital of fashion and luxury. She’s a fancy lady, but she confessed that her husband was not so happy checking their bank account report after her shopping!
But Michelle loves art too, so she spent 3 days visiting the most beautiful cities of Toscana: Firenze, Pisa, Siena. Arguably Toscana is one of the most beautiful regions in the world.
Then she went south and she reached Italian capital, the “Città Eterna”, one of the most beautiful cities of the world, the immortal Roma.
She spent 4 days visiting the majestic relics of the Roman Empire, the Colosseum, the Fori Romani, the treasures of the Christian Rome, St. Peter’s Cathedral, San Giovanni in Laterano, the Vatican Museums, the scenarios of the Italian Dolce Vita, Piazza di Spagna, Trastevere, the Trevi’s Fountain… Roma is so unique!
Then our English friend went to Puglia to spend some days enjoying sun, sea, breathtaking beaches and our delicious food. She went to Polignano a Mare and she discovered the magic of the Southern coast of Italy and its mild climate.
Michelle is now so in love with Italy and she wants to learn Italian, so Lucrezia suggested her to take some online Italian classes. And the more comfortable and entertaining option is Easy Spoken Italian!
Easy Spoken Italian is not the usual course of Italian language: its online Italian classes are designed thinking about all the most common situations that a tourist will find during his/her trip in Italy. Of course there are grammar lessons – all the learners need them to learn a language – but there’s much more in it.
Easy Spoken Italian is not just a course of Italian language. It’s a discovery trip into the uncountable beauties of Italy, its culture and the peculiar nature of its inhabitants.
