The applications of nanotechnology are being researched and tested for the best us of it everywhere. And it has already been used in food technology from agriculture to food processing, packaging, and food supplements. Nanotechnology is widely used in organic farming in India. Technical innovation is very important today in agriculture to face the global challenges such as the population growth, the limited availability of important plane nutrients such as potassium and phosphorus and climate change. Applying nano technology in agriculture will play a major role to tackle the issue. It also helps very much in developing countries like India.

Necoram Bioteck an organic farming company in Pune has helped the farmers with their unique organic food products and fertilizers. It has produced a wide range of food items with all the nutrients required. They are making all these food products and fertilizers with the help of nano technology. It is a process that includes the engineered production of nano- particles in the size range 1 to 100 nanometers. It helps in increasing the efficiency of the production rate and reducing the cost for the same.

Overview of nanotechnology research activities in the agricultural sector

The aim of applying nanotechnology in agriculture is to minimize the nutrient losses in fertilization, reduce applications of plant protection products and increase yields through optimized nutrient management. Although there are all these potential advantages for applying nanotechnology in agriculture, the agriculture sector remains marginal and has not made any change in the market to any larger extent when comparing with the other sectors where nanotechnology is successfully applied.

Nanotechnology tools and devices like nanoparticles, nanocapsules, and even viral capsids are examples of uses to detect and treat diseases, the delivery of active ingredients to specific sites, the enhancement of nutrients absorption by plants and water treatment processes. A number of chemicals released into the environment and the damage to non-target plant tissues can be reduced by the use of target-specific nanoparticles. In the area of plant breeding and genetic alteration, Nanotechnology derived devices are also used.

Although there is the large potential of nano technology in agriculture challenges are still to be addressed such as risk assessment issues and lowering costs and increasing the scale of production processes. In this respect, nanoparticles derived from biopolymers like carbohydrates and proteins which create low impacts on human health and the environment can be best used. Nanostructures and nonmaterial with unique physical, chemical and mechanical properties have been lately developed and applied for highly sensitive bio-chemical sensors. These sensors can be used in agriculture especially for easy bio-chemical sensing and control, soil analysis, pesticide, water management and delivery and nutrient delivery.

In recent years, agricultural waste products have attracted attention as a source of renewable raw materials to be processed in substitution of fossil resources for several different applications as well as a raw material for nonmaterial production. Nano composites based on biomaterials have beneficial properties compared to traditional micro and macro composite materials and, additionally, their production is more sustainable. Many production processes are being developed nowadays to obtain useful nano composites from traditionally harvested materials.

Nano technology in developing countries

Using nanotechnology in agriculture in developing will see many benefits. I t can address many issues in these countries. Especially in India as there is huge number population, farmers should use the technology widely. T can be helpful in developing countries in several agri-food areas such as input delivery, food security, agri-biotechnology, rice production systems, precision farming, healthcare of animals, water use and food industry. However, the main factors limiting the development of these applications are low investments in manpower training and in research infrastructure.

Necoram bioteck is a well known organic farming company in India which uses the nanotechnology for food production in their farming. We concentrate on manufacturing organic food and fertilizers for the benefit of the soil and for people. It has marketed many organic products produces using nano technology. Necoram Bioteck is a well known organic farming company in Pune which concentrates on popularizing the organic farming and to save people from the bad effects of chemical fertilizers. Our organic food products are well known and best in the industry. Our products have made us be the number one organic farming company in India. They have inspired many to avoid the conventional way of farming with the help of chemical fertilizers which affects the health of the people and the environment. Our vision is to have the healthy people and healthy environment to live in. With the use of nano technology, the products have become an international standard and well known.
