Must Known Things When You Apply for Indian Visa Online

E-Visa is an Electronic Visa which is a faster and a stress-free way to obtain an Indian visa. The Government of India has introduced this travel document which makes getting an Indian visa much easier than ever.

The application process for Indian visa includes the option for e-visa but not everyone out of India needs to apply for a visa to visit the country. Under the category of an Indian visa, there are various types including Tourist Visa, e-Business Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Medical Attendant Visa and e-Conference Visa and more for the welfare of different types of tourists. Generally, e-visas are non-extendable, non-convertible and through this visa, no access by the foreign traveler can be made to the restricted, protected and cantonment areas in India.

Some important things to consider before filing an application form for Indian visa:

Validity: The e-Visa is valid for the travelers who enter from these designated airports like Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and five designated seaports namely, Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, Mumbai, Chennai. Apart from that, the time duration is of an e-visa is one year from the date of grant of Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

 

Details to be submitted: Primarily, the main things required for Indian Visa Application would be a recent front-facing photograph with a white or light background, Name, date of birth as well as the nationality of the applicant.

 

Documentation Requirements: The documentation requirements are different for each category of Indian Visa. It is as follows:

·E-Tourist and e-medical Visa: E-Tourist and e-medical Visa requires a Scanned Bio Page of the passport showing the photograph and the details. Additionally, for the medical type of visa, a copy of Letter from the concerned hospital or specialist in India on its letterhead is also mandatory.

 

·For e-Business Visa: This Visa category requires a scanned bio page of the passport showing the photograph and details along with the copy of the business card.

 

 

·For e-Conference Visa: This category of visa requires Scanned Bio Page of the passport showing the photograph and details, Invitation from organizer and more. When you apply for an Indian visa online, a Political clearance from MEA as well as an Event clearance from MHA is also required as an option.

Application Status: The applicant who is traveling to India must check the application status of their e-Visa. They can do it by using their Application ID, Passport number and by this, the accurate status can be received anytime and anywhere.

When you apply for the Indian visa online, it should be kept in mind that the e-Visa fee once submitted is non-refundable. Apart from that, an additional transaction charge is to be paid by the applicants within four days of the date of expected travel.
