Muscle Building Workout Plans Will Work Only If You Follow These
If building muscle is something you are interested in, then just going to the gym and lifting weights will not do. Building muscle is about a lot more than doing the barbell squat. To build muscle, you first need to know and follow a few things.
Higher calorie intake
To build muscle, you will need to grow big and that is only possible if you increase your calorie intake. You may already know that you need a lot of protein and may be you are eating that but unless you also take in higher calories, you are not going to grow big. So how do you calculate the number of calories you need to consume to build muscle? Multiply your body’s weight with 10 and then add about a thousand to 1500 calories to it and you have a daily calorie intake to keep to.
Carbohydrates and protein
Eating a lot of carbs is also an important part of muscle building workout plans. Carbs will fuel the workouts you are putting your body through. Carbs get stored in the body in the form of glycogens and the idea is to make sure that the level of glycogen in the body is so high that there is never any need to dip into protein resources for energy. That is the reason why you need to include a lot of carbs in your diet. When it comes to protein, you must already know that you need it a lot. So how are you going to determine exactly how much protein you need? You will need about 2 gm of protein for every kilogram of your body-weight to build muscle.
Eat smaller meals and eat more frequently
No matter what kind of muscle building workout plans you choose, eating smaller meals tricks your body into thinking that there is a never-ending supply of food and it can easily build muscle. So if you have to eat about 4000 calories a day, it can seem like a lot, but if you choose to eat smaller and more frequently, it really won’t be that difficult. Spread out your meals to around 6 times a day and it comes to about 600 calories per meal.
For any muscle building workout plans to succeed, one needs solid determination and a wealth of knowledge about nutrition and diet.
