• For the post of Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, there are 02 vacant posts.
  
• For the post of Graduate in Electrical Engineering, there are 03 vacant posts.
  
• For the post of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, there are 03 vacant posts.
  
• For the post of Diploma in Electrical Engineering, there are 03 vacant posts.
  
• For the post of Programming and System Administration Assistant (PASAA), there are 248 vacant posts.
  

Willing Entrants, who want to apply for the above mentioned posts should hold the qualification as given below:

For Graduate Apprentice: The Candidates who are enthusiastic to apply for this post, should hold the Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University as per rule 3(2) Schedules IA of the apprentices rules, 1992.

For Diploma Apprentice: In order to apply against the Diploma Apprentice posts, candidates must possess Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering/Technology from Board of Technical Education of a State as per rule 3(2) Schedules IA of the apprentices’ rules, 1992.

For Programming and System Administration Assistant: The Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Programming and System Administration Assistant must be passed 10th std (SSC) or equivalent and passed National Trade Certificate Examination in the trade of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) in I.T.I.

Mumbai Port Trust has also set up the age limitation in order to hire up the willing candidates for the above mentioned posts. In order to apply for the vacant posts participants should not be less than 14 years of age or more than 21 years of age and the age limit will be calculated as on 01-03-2017. Note, that in the Mumbai Port Trust Recruitment 2017, there is relaxation in the Upper age limit by 5 years for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Mumbai Port Trust has not set any Upper age limit for the posts of Graduate/Technician apprentices.

As the selected candidates for the posts of Graduate Apprentice will get Rs. 4984/- or as applicable as per sub-rule 2 of rule 11 of the apprentices rules, 1992, for Diploma Apprentice posts candidate will get Rs. 3542/- or as applicable as per sub-rule 2 of rule 11 of the apprentices rules, 1992 and the selected candidates for the posts of Programming and System Administration Assistant will be offered Rs.7741 /- or as applicable.
