Mumbai: Fourth Hike in Prices of Natural Gas In 2022
by Suraj V. Digital Marketing (sr. SEO Expert)According to reports, the prices
of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) prices were
increased by INR 4 and INR 3, respectively. Now, CNG will be available in Mumbai at
INR 80 per kg, whereas PNG will be accessible at INR 48.50 per Standard Cubic
Meter (SCM).
Based on accounts, this is the fourth hike in the cost of natural gas in
2022. Previously, CNG was priced at INR 76 per kg, while that of PNG was at
INR 45.50 per SCM. In
the earlier hike, prices of CNG were increased by INR 4.
A statement from Mahanagar Gas
Limited (MGL) reportedly elaborates on how the company has always attempted to
maintain price stability for its consumers. However, it added that because the
increase in input gas cost is considerably high, they have decided to recover
such increased gas cost.
In light of this, MGL has claimed
to have a limit to increase the MRP of CNG by INR 4 per Kg and Domestic PNG by
INR 3 per SCM in and around Mumbai.
On the other hand, MGL signed a
letter of intent with a private agency, The Fuel Delivery to curate mobile CNG stations in Mumbai.
Narratives suggest that once the mobile refuelling unit is filled, it can
refuel nearly 150 cars or 350 three-wheelers.
