Motorhomes and Brisbane really go well together

Motorhomes are becoming increasingly common on the Australian roads, and with very good reason. Can you think of a better way to travel around the country and see everything that there is to see? Of course nobody could ever hope to see “everything” but you can certainly see a whole lot more if you travel by motorhome.

There are plenty of motorhomes in the Brisbane area because it is a beautiful place and people love to explore there. What could be better than hopping into your “home from home”, stocking up the fridge with fresh meat for the barbecue and a few cold beers (for when the driving is finished for the day of course) and heading out to your favourite spot to spend the night, the weekend, the week or month. Some people set off from home and just keep on driving for months and months; others prefer to use their motorhomes for shorter journeys when they have a few days off from work.

It really doesn’t matter why or how you use your motor-home – if you have one you are one of the fastest growing groups of travellers around Australia.

Australia is a vast country, of that I am sure you are aware and basically there are a few options if you want to travel around and really get the feel for the land.

Flying from place to place – might be a good way to get there quickly but hey, travelling is not only about getting there, it is about enjoying the journey too.

Backpacking – walking, hiking, cycling or taking whatever lifts you can manage to find might be okay for some of the younger and more adventurous types, but it certainly isn’t suitable for everybody.

Driving – now you are talking, driving is the best way to enjoy the view from the windows as you make your way around the country. You can stop to take a photograph, slow down in a beautiful spot or speed up to get wherever you are going. If you have a motor home you can also stop for a sleep, something to eat and drink and a bathroom break whenever you feel the need.

There is little wonder that there are so many motorhomes on Brisbane roads, but hey, that’s okay. There is plenty of room for everybody and some people are lucky enough to have the funds and the time to really enjoy their journey.
