Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFTNokia just raised the bar for conventional phones. According to the handset manufacturer, its latest launch is not its most sought-after product, but that does not mean it will disappoint you. Nokia 215 is priced at only $29, one of company’s cheapest phones to offer Internet connectivity among other attractive features.

To begin with, some of us have a habit of carrying a second handset with us. That we keep for work or family, depending on us entirely. Nokia 215 seems to be the ideal most mobile with many features only at the minor cost.

This phone does not fall in the smart phone category but has some smart phone features. You can access internet via 3G and some apps work fine on it which include , Twitter, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, Bing, MSN Weather and Opera Mini. This also points out to the fact that since on 3G, the internet may work relatively slow but for the phone at this price, anyone can be fine with it. It is basically aimed to attract the users who are just beginning with smart phones or want to keep the phone as the second one with minimal smart features.

As per the company personnel: "The Nokia 215 is perfect for people looking for their first mobile device, or those wanting to upgrade to enjoy affordable digital and social media services, like Facebook and Messenger."

This is most likely to be the lowest price for a phone that Microsoft has to offer but it definitely is a new beginning for them in this series to go a long way. Other features of Nokia 215 include 8MB RAM, 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping technology to send-receive files or data with another device that has SLAM. It also includes other basic features also. It comes in bright green, black and white colors. It is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2015 in some regions such as Asia, Europe, Africa and Middle East.

The Nokia 215 is expected to do well among youngsters, which is the handset’s target audience. The handset will cater to the needs of those who prefer conventional phones that offer new technology, such as a 3-mega pixel camera, built-in torch, MP3 player, FM radio support, and Bluetooth connectivity. Strikingly, the phone’s battery can last almost a month (29 days) without charging. This is another factor which makes it worth it to have possess this phone as a second handset. It is cheaper, has excellent battery and also the essential Internet access needed by any person.
