Recently Capcom Studio unveiled their financial statement for the year 2018-2019, and interestingly enough the Monster Hunter World title is at the top in terms of sales in comparison to all the other titles published.

The reports further suggested that Monster Hunter World title has already sold 12 million copies worldwide and the sales for the future are still looking strong for the Monster Hunter title. It is quite a feat to achieve for the Capcom studios as the Monster Hunter World title is still maintaining strong sales and is expected even to surpass the current 12 million mark.

Capcom said that as per the ongoing trend the sales for Monster Hunter World is still standing strong and effectively the 12 million units have already been sold for the title which is the highest recorded sales for the entire history of Capcom.

Furthermore, the officials at Capcom stated the sales for other titles developed by the Capcom studio which included Resident Evil 2 with 4 million copies shipped and Devil May Cry Five had surpassed 2 million shipped copies. Still, the term shipped does not suggest that the title has been sold to a customer; instead, it indicates sending a unit to retailer or seller. So Monster Hunter World has indeed proven to be a massive success for the studio.

The stats as mentioned above have ended up in bring up the sales total for Capcom to 18 million yen which is equivalent to the US $164 million which is about 14% increase in sales if compared to last year. Moreover, Capcom studios also clarified their intentions to create a better soothing environment for their employees to provide them with ample creative freedom.

The Capcom institution also claimed that they are not looking forward to creating exhausting crunching working hours as seen a traditional culture in big brands like Rockstar Studios or Epic Games to name a few. Instead, Capcom is more focused on easing the working conditions for its staff and allowing creative influx in their developers.

Capcom has already introduced a number of new reforms starting from the April 2019 which includes new laws related to working style for providing its staff with some perks to better motivate and canalize the creative vibes with synergy amongst each other.

Such measures include maintaining employees health by granting paid leaves, organizing nine committee meetings every month for ensuring security and health. Clearly, Capcom is trying to create a much more soothing working environment so that their developers get enough resources to develop much more exciting games for the future.

Let’s see how Capcom manages to sustain the latest success and what new titles could the franchise bring for its fans to generate even better financial results for this year.
