Method To Hook Up Netgear Router To Cable Modem
For internet connection,
a router is connected with a modem. If the connection is proper then only user
can receive continuous and high speed internet. This article shows, how a

1.
User can use a interface
for configuring router with modem. Few user interfaces are available. User can
configure router using that interface wizard.

Connect the modem with
the internet port of router and with any of the LAN ports of router, connect
the system or computer.

Switch off the router
and modem and restart the computer. Do this process 2 to 3 times so that all
the three gets boots up.

In the computer, open
the browser window and type the IP address in the address bar.

Default IP addresses are
192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Press Enter.

A login page will
appear. Enter the login details, username as "admin"and password as
"password ".

Now open the available
user interface, for example , "Smart Wizard ", and click on set up
wizard.

On asking to detect the
internet connection, select YES and follow the steps.
9.
Netgear router's
configuration and modem detals will be seen. Check for the IP address. It
should not be blanked or 0.0.0.0.
