Mertesacker: We have the characters to succeed

Defender Per Mertesacker says the Arsenal have the characters inside the dressing space to become successful this season.

The Gunners are second inside the Premier League table and in a superior position to mount a title challenge heading into the New Year.

Vice-skipper Mertesacker has captained the side consistently this season with Mikel Arteta spending lots of the season out on the side.

The major German says the players are all committed for the trigger and hailed the fantastic blend of personalities within the Arsenal squad.

“It’s not about me or anybody else, it is regarding the club,” he told arsenal.com. “We need to dedicate our lives to that club, and that suggests far more to me than just performing properly individually.

“I think you will discover characters in the squad that just care for their game and try not to drop energy, which is what you'll need.

“You constantly have diverse forms of characters but my personal approach was always that I'd feel (vist fifa-coins.fr) superior if factors had been place in location, had been planned and have been organised. I make an effort to communicate well on and off the pitch so the lads realize that when I say something it is truthful and it’s the truth.
