History Of B.P. Koirala Medical College

The university was established in 1993and named after the late former Prime Minister of Nepal Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala. First, they started a program of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and duration is for 4.5 years. It is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. In 1998 it was converted into Autonomous Health Science University. In 2010 Government of India laid the foundation stone of a new block.
