Marketing Training Presentation - How To Market Your Business Effectively.
Marketing Training Presentation
I attended a Marketing Training Presentation on Monday 20th September 2011 which was hosted by T LeMont and know I must share the contents of that presentation with you.
T Le Mont and I are members of a very strong and dynamic business which is taking the internet by storm so I knew I was in for a treat.
The presentation was scheduled for 9.00pm EST. I live in London United Kingdom with a time difference of 5 hours so my time for the Presentation was 2.00am Tuesday. I decided I was not going to chance it and go to bed to be up for that time.
T Le Mont does the Tuesdays and Thursdays webinars for the business which we are members of, so I knew it was going to be good presentation and like a kid on Christmas Eve I definitely did not want to miss it at all.
Before I cover what he had to say I can tell you that It Was Worth It Every Single 1 and 1/2 hours of it.
So here is what he covered at the webinar
The WHY Factor
1 Clearly Establish Your WHY!
If your WHY is not big enough.... then the HOW's would not matter.
To establish your WHY you would need to be:
a) Deeply emotional and personal.
b) Write out a list of 10 people/entities that will WIN. When YOU WIN they WIN. These same people should LOOSE if YOU LOOSE
List. These people could be your mother, father, wife, husband, children, family member, business associates etc.
c) Write their Stories down so that others could read them because they are real stories which people could relate to.
d) Review your LOOSE statement DAILY. This help to keep you on track.
2. Treat your business like a Job
In order to do this you need to:-
a) Establish your daily hours and stick with it. I would add here that for new people starting out in business a written Timetable is a good way of creating some order in your business hours. So you create a timetable for day and for each task. For example time for advertising, promoting, answering emails etc. The timetable must also be flexible not rigid. Flexibility is important to become successful in business.
b) Stay focused during these hours. Do not be distracted by telephone calls, family members, friends calling on you etc. Remember to Treat Your Business Like a Job. Friends and family cannot call on you whenever they want to if you are working for ABC company.
3. Make sure you are not confusing BUSY TIME with PRODUCTIVE TIME.
FOCUS ON PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES
a) Anything that help you to grow your followers (eg. following marketers on Twitter - adding friends on Facebook and
by that I mean people who are entrepreneurs, business millionaires etc.
Anything that is designed to gain opt-ins, build your mailing list, YouTube etc.)
b) Anything that is designed to increase your marketing knowledge or skill set to promote whatever you are promoting eg webinars, newsletters, joining groups.
c) Anything that will assist you in building a Stronger bond/relationship with your list. Such as providing them with training, support, inviting them to things which are relevant to their business.
d) Getting on a presentation webinar.
These all help you to gain confidence and respect from others in your respective market arena. People do not respond to business names as much as they do to people. Why? because they trust you and that trust is a product of friendship.
The Purpose of The Presentation Webinar.
1) To reignite the existing rep.
2) Teach the existing rep to sell the dream.
3) Sell the dream to the new folks.
e) Does this activity have the potential to grow my bottom line - that is will it help me to build my business (if you are on a webinar which you had already attended in the past, you could multi task by listening to the webinar while you do other things such as check your twitter followers, answer your tweets, check your Facebook friends, add new friends there etc.
Remember
PEOPLE DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THEY LIKE, RESPECT AND TRUST.
What is BUSY TIME?
This is where you spend a lot of time being busy doing nothing productive. Like getting distracted on Facebook or Skype chatting away to friends and associates about nothing that is relevant to your business. Answering emails which are non-productive at the time, You should separate your business emails from your personal emails - use two separate email addresses one for family and friends and the other for businesses. Also use a separate email address for your safe lists emails. Another component of Busy Time is aimlessly surfing the internet when you should be MINDING YOUR BUSINESS.
Do not be distracted by busy time because busy time will not grow your business. It is not productive time, it will eat into your business and frustrate you at the end of the day.
4. UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR BUSINESS WILL NEVER PAY YOU LIKE A JOB
People who have a job know that at the end of the week, fortnight or month they would be paid for the work they did during the week fortnight or month.
Early on in your business you SOW and SOW and SOW and wonder when you will ever see the harvest. Later on you will have so much money coming in that you will wonder if you are being overpaid.
5. ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE!
Limit YOUR NEGATIVE INFLUENCES. Limit YOUR EXPOSURE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NEGATIVE.
Guard against negative chatter/talk, negative news. It could come from members of your family, friends and or associates.
Limit the time you spend with these people and in these environments. Remember the saying "Great minds think alike" well so do Great Fools. Associate with people who could contribute to your personal and business development.
And
NEVER EVER EVER EVER PASS NEGATIVES TO YOUR DOWNLINE
If your downline have some negative comment about the company then advise them to submit a Support Ticket to the company.
Finally here are some important Principles for generating income.
1. Residual Income Element... here you get paid over and over and over again for something you did right one time. This is one of the best income models on the market today.
Note:-
NOT ALL INCOME STREAMS ARE CREATED THE SAME!
2. GPN (Get Paid Now) or GPT (Get Paid Today)
There are two types
1. Top Tier Sales which pays out between 50% to 90% to one or two people. They are great for driving larger commissions.
2. 100% residual income paid out.
Although these two systems have high income payouts they mostly rely on sales to generate that income. In good economic times they are very lucrative but in more difficult economic times they could be very frustrating as people have less and less disposable income.
Additionally
BE CAREFUL ABOUT JUST MARKETING AFFILIATE PROGRAMS
- most of these programs are one time purchases with smaller monthly payouts. A lot of them have products attached to them which could be sold for regular income.
It maybe good business move to sell these products on to your list to earn an income from them and create a following. This could be done via webinars, training videos, autoresponder training programs etc.
Once people begin to have confidence in you and your products they then want to know more about you and what you do. You could then pitch your core business and grow you downline.
I hope this information is of some help to you and your business going forward. The content here is from my own notes which I took off the webinar, I also added a few of my own ideas.
