Manitoba Business Investor immigration Program

Investor Stream replaces the old Manitoba Entrepreneur Stream under
MPNP. This program allows the province to choose the right business immigrant
into the province. Under this program, Manitoba has two different streams
1.
Entrepreneur Pathway
2.
Farm Investor Pathway
BIS program mainly focuses on inviting
business personnel to generate economy in Manitoba and create jobs for locals
in Manitoba. Apart from business and farm investors, Manitoba also invites
skilled professionals into the province through their Manitoba
Provincial Nominee Program.
To qualify for this program the applicant
should intend to-
i.
Purchase a running business in
Manitoba either wholly or partly
ii.
Invest in a running business
there
iii.
Start a new business in
Manitoba.
In any of the businesses the applicant is
part, the applicant should own at least 33.33% of the business share. They
should also have the decision making rights in the business and participate in
the everyday running of the business.
The aspirant applicant should have business
experience or should have worked as a senior manager or should have been part
of the senior management group of a successful business.
The aspirant applicant should clear one of
the language tests to prove their language ability. They should have earned a
minimum of CLB 5 in each of the language band.
The applicant should have at least earned a
minimum education certification equivalent to Canadian high school. This is
similar to that of the Skilled
Immigration program.
The applicant should be between the age of
25 and 49 years.
In Manitoba capital region, the applicant
should be prepared to invest a minimum of CAD $250,000 and if the investor
intends to invest in non-capital region of Manitoba, then the investor should
be prepared to invest a minimum of CAD $150,000. The investment should be made
in a proper pre-authorized business in Canada. The applicant needs to do a lot
of research before deciding to invest in a particular project or business. It
is advisable to approach an investment
immigration expert to get expert advice in the matter. The investor
also should ensure that the business will generate at least 1 job opportunity
for the locals in Canada- either a citizen or permanent resident in Manitoba.
The applicant should prepare a proper
business plan to present to the Immigrations. The applicant should make a
mandatory business visit to Manitoba to research about the business, the
location and other parameters. The business plan should be based on such a
research. The applicant should have done this research a year prior to
submission of the Expression of Interest.
Few adaptability factors also bring in
points for the applicant which will be based on the qualifications of the
applicant’s spouse.
The applicant should have a personal
networth of CAD 500,000.
Farm
Investor Pathway –
To qualify for this pathway, the applicant
should have a minimum of 3 years of farming or farm business experience. The
applicant needs to prove their language capabilities either English or French
to qualify for the program. The applicant should be ready to invest a minimum
of CAD $300,000 in rural Manitoba farm land. The applicant should submit a farm
business plan to the immigrations. The applicant should express their intention
to participate in the day to day running of the farm. The applicant should
prove their personal net-worth of CAD $500,000.

experts in the same. It will be even better if they are recognized by the ICCRC, Canada. Manitoba is a
secure and safe province which is also rich in economy and minerals. There is a
