Manage Your Snack Attacks

Around 95% of us Brits snack on a daily basis…

And whilst snacking per se is not an issue, HOW you snack is.

Do you ever;

- Snack whilst reading your e-mails?

- Snack whilst commuting to work?

- Snack whilst watching the TV?

- Snack whilst feeding the kids?

You may even be snacking right now, reading this post and scrolling through your social media?

If any of the above does ring true, your snacking habits NEED to change for those health and weight loss goals you have.

Because distracted snacking leads to over consumption.

Your brain is focused upon those work e-mails, not the chocolate bar in your hand.

Your brain is focused upon driving safely through the traffic, not the bag of sweets your picking at in the cup holder.

Your brain is focused upon Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, not the tub of ice cream you’re spooning away at.

If your brain is focused elsewhere, you’re much more likely to over consume any given food.

So this week (and beyond) here’s what I’d like you to try;

- Snack only when sitting down

- Snack only when it has your FULL concentration

- Question your hunger levels and WHY you are snacking (if you aint hungry enough to eat an apple, are you really hungry enough for that muffin?)

This is something I’ve worked on with several clients previously, and with one client in particular right now who’s doing incredibly well with it.

Items of her clothing are becoming loose, old unwanted habits are being crushed and she’s winning back control of her decisions around food.

Isn’t that something you want?
