Maharashtra: Students To Start Coming To Schools From June 15
by Suraj V. Digital Marketing (sr. SEO Expert)On Thursday, June 9, the commissioner of the state education
department, Suraj Mandhare issued an order highlighting that the new academic
year for schools after the summer break will commence on June 13. However, students will begin coming to school from
June 15, reports stated.
According to accounts, on June 13 and 14, the schools are
expected to clean their premises and make the same ready for the pupils. In
addition to this, the schools have also been told to create awareness in the
teaching and non-teaching staff about the COVID-19 protocols.
Based on narratives, the orders were issued by Mandhare to
all the deputy directors under the education department. These in turn will
have to appraise the schools which fall under their jurisdiction.
On the other hand, taking into account the high temperatures
in June in Vidarbha, the academic year there will officially commence on June
23. However, students will start attending classes from June 27 onwards,
reports cited.
Earlier there persisted confusion regarding the school
reopening dates since whilst schools were slated to open following the summer
break on June 13, Maharashtra school education minister Varsha
Gaikwad had remarked that the academic year will commence from June
15.
With the orders now being issued, confusion around the same
has been addressed. Mandhare's order highlights that schools should follow
all coronavirus instructions
made by the health and disaster management authorities from time to time.
