Lysine Massage Therapy
Lysine is a tilt-bottle massage technique that uses a wine bottle as the implement of massage. The Lysine bottle has a small tap at the top that allows the therapist to fill it with water. Before putting the bottle back, the therapist pushes it back and up, stretching the muscles alongside. He or she then uses the wrist of the opposing hand to lower the bottle down, taking the pressure off the treated area. Lysine is generally used for neck and shoulder tension, especially for those who work long hours.
Therapy sessions typically last fifteen minutes or less, although longer sessions may be offered by the therapist. There is no need for oil or lotion to make the massage effective, although the therapist may use such substances. It is also convenient for use anywhere there is an electrical outlet.
