London - Awake 24/7
As
a capital city, it isn’t surprising that London is full of life 24/7. The
hustle and bustle of the day spills into the night when the city really comes
to life whether it is through the lively nightclubs, trendy bars or even a
cultural trip to the theatre, the nightlife in this city is incredible and
something that must be experienced. So, whether you’re donning your dancing
shoes or simply heading out for a quiet drink, London is guaranteed to have
something that suits you.
London
has been hailed one of the greatest nightlife experiences in the world and many
of its clubs are promoted through its many celebrity visitors. Granted, it can
cost a pretty penny to enter these places, however, when you’re rubbing
shoulders with Rihanna, Prince Harry or David Beckham, do you really mind?
Mahiki is one of the celebs favourite haunts and is said to be a fantastic
night out, however, you will need to save your pennies as it is quite pricey,
for example, there are cocktails on the menu that cost a staggering £50.
The Box is also a firm favourite but you will need to get your name on the guest list in the hope of being let in and, if you require a table to watch the cabaret show that begins at midnight, then be prepared to be set back £1000 on a weekday night and over £3000 on the weekend. Celebrities flock to The Box with the likes of Emma Watson, Jude Law and Prince Harry gracing its doors to watch its burlesque and fire-stunt shows as well as dancing the night away until the early morning.
Bars
The George is one of the great meeting places in Kensington London because it is a classic pub with a whole host of original features. Built in the 1600’s, it has the original windows that are etched with gorgeous detail, dark wood panelling that fills the interior and mirrors. If you are looking for a homely, comfortable bar that serves proper pub grub, then The George is the place to visit.
If you are looking for an upmarket experience, the American Bar at The Savoy is simply perfect. This bar was one of the first American-style bars to be brought to London and is where the American tradition of cocktail making was introduce so, needless to say, their drinks here are spectacular. The cocktails here do come at a price of around £18 per drink, however, there is sheer artistry involved when the drinks are produced by staff who are dressed to suit their surroundings. If you are a lover of showbiz history, you will adore the idea that you are sat in the same place where Marlene Dietrich used to sip on her cocktails.
