Live Music Event Safety Tips for Teens

by Ranny Watson Blogger

Live music events in Northport provide excellent opportunities for teens who want to meet new people and have fun with friends. Even when you focus on music, things may go wrong. It is an event in a venue crowded with excited crowds. You need to take your safety seriously not only in the venue but also when you are traveling to and from the venue. Here are some tips for you.

Plan

It is good for you if you have been to that venue before. Make sure that you are able to locate important places at the venue. In case you don’t, do proper research. Being aware of the layout of the venue helps in avoiding any confusion. You must be able to access bathrooms, medics and exits. Do you know where you can buy food and drinks? You need medical help but you don’t know where to find a doctor. Or, nature calls but you don’t know where to go. This can be dangerous if you are unable to find emergency exits.

In case you cannot get the layout, visit the venue early to see how you can access these key places. In case you and your friends are not traveling together, choose a spot where you all will meet up. Fully charge your devices and stay in contact when you are on your way to the venue.

Transportation

If you love traveling to live music events in Northport together then you need to stay safe on the road. You are going to have a lot of fun at the event. However, this does not mean you should get overexcited in the car. There must be no distractions when you are driving. The driver may not be able to pay attention if you are playing loud music in the car. The best thing that you can do is asking parents to drive to the venue. Keep in mind that roads will be crowded if it is an event of a globally recognized artist. If you arrive early, you can easily find a parking lot for your vehicle. Let an experienced driver drive and park. Avoid walking alone in the event. Stay together. You are vulnerable when alone. Don’t drive under influence. Call someone from your home to drive. Stay there if one of your friends is intoxicated. Don’t allow new acquaintances to enter your car.

Drug and Alcohol

You are there to enjoy music. Therefore, avoid drugs and alcohol. You will find people using drugs and drinking alcohol. Some of them even take illegal drugs. Avoid such people. Drugs make them feel happy and relaxed. However, there are some side effects of these drugs and alcohol consumption. This may lead to paranoia. Drugs and alcohol can raise your heart rate and blood pressure. This is not good for you. People have to visit emergency rooms after taking drugs at music events. Accessing medical facilities is not easy when it is a crowded venue. Therefore, you must avoid drugs and alcohol.
