Patrick Girondi & The Oprhans Dream announce that the second single of their new album,"Orphans Dream", is now available for streaming on all major music platforms. The single talks about the challenges in the healthcare system and how some patients may be taking more medicines than they need.

The new single is inspired by 70s Motown and features a unique blend of funk, soul, and rock. Entitled,"I Did My Best", the track talks about the personal experiences of Girondi with the US healthcare system. He says that some doctors overprescribe medication without first looking at the patient’s complete medical history.

There is research to back this claim. A 2019 study published in Clinical Medical Research gave four examples of adults being overprescribed various types of medicines, from antidepressants to antibiotics. These patients suffered from severe side effects from taking medicine at their incorrect doses.

Girondi says that apart from the health crisis happening around the world, the US healthcare system is also suffering from the other pandemic of overmedication. He uses his latest single to warn you of the possible consequences of taking the right medicine at the wrong doses.

"I Did My Best" is Girondi’s wish that both patients and healthcare professionals be more transparent with one another. Doctors should explain the possible side effects of medicines and patients should inform their doctors of any side effects they may be having.

Patrick Girondi, originally from the South Side of Chicago, is an Italian-American singer-songwriter, author, and founder of a gene therapy company. Girondi has released five albums, published a book, and led Errant Gene Therapeutics since 2003, with the mission of curing Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia.

Still, Girondi explains that his music is his passion. He uses his voice to raise awareness on different issues. With "I Did My Best", Girondi attempts to educate the public on the dangers of overmedication.
