Let's play at home with the whole family!
The
period of self-isolation forced families all over the country to sit within
four walls without the opportunity to take a walk or go to the cinema. But
what should parents do, who are now forced to entertain their children day and
night? Not every mother and not every father was a start-up and a mass
entertainer. However, there is a solution: join the games like trivia questions
and answers
yourself! This way, time will pass faster, family ties will strengthen,
and your mood will improve.
Our
selection of interesting activities will allow you to choose a game at home for
the whole family.
"Who am I?"
This type of guessing game is great fun and develops
general erudition. To play, you only need adhesive stickers and writing
utensils. The names of various cartoon and TV series characters,
historical figures, stars and any people in general (From Winnie the Pooh to
Michael Jackson or Aunt Masha’s neighbor) are written on the stickers. Each
player is given a sticker with a “nickname” on their forehead and must use
questions to guess which character they are. For example: “Am I a
man? I am a singer? Do I wear gloves, glasses and a hat?
"What changed?"
An excellent game that develops attention and memory
skills. In an apartment, you can choose any room for the game. The
participant should remember all the furnishings, including what is hanging on
the wall or lying on the shelves. Afterwards, the player must leave for a
while, and the presenters must change places or remove them
altogether. The player must guess what has changed in the room.
"Masquerade"
What child doesn't like dressing up and trying on
different looks? There probably won't be anything like it! And this
activity will be even more fun with parents. Come up with your own costume
ball: from old outfits, costumes, jewelry and even improvised materials (scraps
of fabric, felt, ribbons, paper). Based on the results of such a game, you
can organize a family parade-defile, a competition with prizes for the title of
“King of the Masquerade,” a tea party or a photo shoot in funny costumes.
"Twister"
"Twister" is one of the best outdoor games
for family leisure. Even if the family does not have a special rug with
marked multi-colored circles and a special tape measure in its arsenal, you can
make them yourself. The field is made of two Whatman papers, and roulette
is freely available in the form of an application for a
smartphone. Voila! Now you can have fun calmly, developing flexibility,
observation and accuracy. The main thing is not to fall.
"Mysterious package"
This activity will bring true pleasure to the
players. This game also has an edifying meaning. All you need for it
is some mysterious gift (large candy, small toy, kinder surprise, mini-notebook),
wrapped in a huge number of packages, boxes, bags and wrapping paper.
Sit in a circle, turn on the music and pass the
package to each other. When the music stops, the player in whose hands it
is must remove one wrapper from the package. Then the music plays again -
and so on until the end. The person who removes the last wrapper
wins. He receives a hidden gift!
Such a game competition develops in children the
ability to share and experience joy for others. And the game also shows:
the winner receives his prize not for some qualities (behavior, grades), but
simply due to chance, which is not at all uncommon in our lives.
"Treasure hunters"
This family quest will perfectly relieve the boredom
of everyday life. Parents themselves can act as the ringleaders or pass on
all the chores to the children - kids especially love to invent something, hide
things and play little tricks!
The task is extremely simple: somewhere in the house
you need to place a treasure (it could be a bag of sweets). Its location should
be marked on the treasure map. And, of course, getting to the treasury is
not so easy: the path can be blocked by a chimera (cat), a raging sea
(bathtub), or the impenetrable Amazon jungle (balcony).
The main thing is to place hints at each stage in the
form of notes for the players, where they need to go next and what needs to be
done to get to the treasure. For example, to move to the next place on the
map, you need to wash a cup to find a clue at the bottom of the sink, or solve
a tricky math puzzle. Both entertaining and useful!
"Non-standard situations"
An interesting family game like fun
trivia questions that in an
easy way allows you to work through fears, develop emotional intelligence and
use logical thinking.
The presenter invites each player to resolve a
difficult and unusual situation. The participant who gives the most
unusual solution wins! For example: a child came to school and noticed
that all his classmates and teachers were dressed in clown costumes, while the
player was the only one in the entire school wearing a school
uniform! What to do?
"Inventory"
An excellent activity that develops memory and
concentration. The presenter needs to put on the table many different
objects (a pin, a key, a button, a sticker, a paper clip, an eraser, a coin, a
badge, a pencil, an earring, a toy car, etc.) in one copy. The
participants look at them for a minute, and then the presenter throws a towel
or napkin over the equipment. Now the players take turns naming the items
that were on the table. If a participant does not do this within 15
seconds, he is eliminated. You can't repeat yourself!
"Tale from a Hat"
A calm but exciting activity to develop imaginative
thinking and coherent speech. Different words of the players' choice are
written on small separate pieces of paper. They all gather in a hat and
mix there. Then participants take turns pulling out pieces of paper and
coming up with a short, coherent story in a few sentences using this
word. When one player finishes, the next person continues the story with
the word that fell to him. It turns out to be one big story - and the
funnier the better!
"Minefield"
Active children with a good imagination will
especially enjoy this game. The task is to get from one point to another
in an apartment or house without the help of the floor, but using two small
pieces of paper. Be careful not to touch the mines scattered on the floor
(toys, slippers, pillows, daddy's shoes, books). Are you weak?
"Turtle Race"
This active game will greatly entertain both bored
children and adults. You need to get on all fours and put some large
object (pillow, book, soft toy) on your back. In this position, you should
run to the finish line so that the “shell” does not fall. Gradually, the
task can be complicated by burdening the “shell” with more and more new
objects!
"Who is bigger"
A great opportunity to sort out and sort through your
and your children’s wardrobe in a playful way. Within a minute of speed,
you need to put on as much clothing as possible (including gloves and
hats). Whoever has the most is the winner!
"Astronaut"
If you have balloons in the house, you can arrange an
exciting journey to other worlds. Blow up the balloons, hand the players a
marker or felt-tip pen, and ask them to discover a new planet. Record the
time, come up with a name for the planet and draw its inhabitants on the
ball! Whose “planet” has more inhabitants is the winner.
"Home Classics"
A great opportunity to diversify physical activity at
home. You don't even have to go outside to do this. It is enough to
“draw” standard cells using electrical tape or gouache on the kitchen
tiles. Now you can safely jump at any time of the year! The main
thing is that dissatisfied neighbors from below do not come.
"Sumo"
A fun tournament will help children and parents get
rid of accumulated tension. The peculiarity is that everyone will enjoy
the activity even at the preparation stage. Prepare several large
T-shirts, under which you can place everything soft that is in the house
(blankets, pillows, toys, scarves). Transform into huge sumo
wrestlers! You can secure the resulting “torsos” with tape or
straps. Now it's time to start the tournament. Remember, the task of
sumo wrestlers is simply to knock down the opponent while remaining on his
feet.
"Letter finds"
An attentive game to enrich your vocabulary. Each
player is offered one letter from the alphabet, and his task is to find as many
words in the apartment as possible starting with a given letter (book, cat,
glue, carpet). The winner gets permission to not wash dishes for a whole
day!
"Crocodile"
Despite the fact that this game is considered
intellectual, few would argue that it does not require mobility. Each
player pulls out a piece of paper with one word that he must reveal. Yes,
yes, just show it! Movements, gestures, actions, facial
expressions. Making sounds and talking is prohibited! Who is first?
"Home Bowling"
This game is suitable for leisure in any family, since
everyone has “props”. All you need to do is find a small ball and a few
makeshift pins. Their role can be bottles, soft toys placed on the end of
the book. The rules are simple: you need to knock out all the pins with
the ball! And to motivate your child, you can come up with an interesting
prize fund, especially if the child hits the strike several times in a row.
And take care of the windows!
