Winter days can seem extra cold, dull and harsh if you are not in good health. During the fall there are drastic changes in the weather and your body may not be able to cope with these. Some herbs and spices can also help you stay healthy. Spices such as mustard, fenugreek, and pepper help increase the metabolic rate and keep the body warm. Tusli helps in curing cough and cold. Garlic, ginger and sesame help in increasing the body temperature. Yogurt can save your stomach from getting upset after all the tasty food you have in winter.
Like you have to keep yourself warm from within, a layer of warm clothes around your body is also equally important. It is important to cover yourself properly before going outdoors. Warm vests, body warmers, sweaters, pullovers will keep you cozy. Woolen kurtis for ladies can be really comfortable while giving an elegant look. Men can opt for khadi kurtas; they give an Indian feel and smart look. If the weather is too harsh hooded jackets, boots, scarves and caps might be needed.
