by Aida Martin Norton Setup

Lenovo Legion is an expensive flagship, and it has exceptional features, specifically gaming related designs.

For several months Lenovo Legion was in the news regarding the speculations surrounding the smartphone with gaming features. Lenovo is considered as the world’s largest personal computer manufacturing company. Since rumors are soaring high everywhere regarding the launch of the smartphone with gaming-oriented features, here is what we can expect.

Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone: Everything Explained

Most of the smartphones with gaming features are often introduced with some technical capabilities. However,  these specific features can also be found on the usual smartphones. But, smartphones are often made for multitasking, requiring some more skills to handle gaming. Moreover, smartphones specifically designed for gaming required refresh rates, which should be extremely high. The excellent graphics are important when the game is in motion on your smartphone. It is due to the notion that playing games on phones is not so easy. Also, online game-specific smartphones need fast and high-quality processors to be enabled to load the games quickly.  Last but not least, everyone wants uninterrupted gaming experience on any device, whether it is a smartphone or personal computer. So, better battery life is very much expected to charge your phone fast and keep the game sessions smooth.

The rumored Lenovo Legion phone is filled with the capabilities to give a smooth and uninterrupted gaming experience on the phone. According to GSM Arena, the phone has been introduced with an octa-core processor of Snapdragon 865, along with a memory of 12 GB RAM. The phone has a display of 6.6 inches, along with a setup of a dual camera. The dual camera in the phone has a wide-angle lens of 64 MP on the rear along with an ultra-wide lens of 16MP. The new smartphone flagship runs at the resolution of 1440p, considered as the standard HD quad.

Moreover, it has a 20 MP front camera that can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames every second. The new gaming-specific Lenovo Legion has a refresh rate of  144 Hz along with supporting HDR10+. Apart from these, the new online gaming-specific phone supports Wi-Fi 6 and fast charging up to 90 W through its USB-C port. The inclusion of Bluetooth LE and super-fast touch experience of 270 Hz makes the phone highly responsive when it comes to taps.

The Lenovo Legion Phone: Not built like other smartphones

The new Lenovo Legion has all high- end capabilities and speeds. All these are making it comparable to some high tier smartphone flagships announced in the year 2020 like Samsung Galaxy Note 2020. But, the most fascinating about Lenovo Legion is its features, which are centric to online gaming. Among these gaming-oriented features, the dual camera introduced in the phone sets it apart from other smartphones. The dual-camera setup in the Lenovo Legion is very different from those introduced in most modern smartphones. The camera has no bump, which means the absence of the area is often visible on the phones’ backside to fit the sensors used in the phones.  Instead of introducing bump design, the dual-camera setup in Lenovo Legion is flat, making it possible to keep the phone leveled on any flat surface.

Most significantly, the system of the dual camera on the phone has been kept near the middle of the phone rather than keeping it in the phone corner or at the top. The main idea behind keeping the entire dual camera setup in such a way seems to make it uniform with the rest of the rear panel of the phone. The whole set up is suggesting that it has been done in the way to be used as a gamepad. Besides, the camera set up has been introduced with pop up design instead of a hole punch often came in-built on the screen. The pop-up design sliding out from the phone will help the online game players to enjoy their game without any disturbance.

According to a teaser video launched by Lenovo and reported by XDA Developers, it appears that there is a system dedicated to cooling the phone. Smartphone making companies are continuously improving processors in their phones, but phones will certainly be heated up as the processors are getting more and more demanding. However, the video is quite unclear about the cooling system of the phone, and whatever translations have been given are loose. The video says the phone has the capability for long-lasting cooling through its dual heat pipe partitions.

These examples of exceptional designs used in the phones prove why gaming-oriented smartphones differ from any other smartphone. Looking at how the industry is working, it is clear that similar speed and specs are included in high tech phones. However, it is possible to introduce modifications in the phone’s physical components to make it a specialized one. As more and more gaming-centric phones will start appearing to users, innovations will also take place. According to Lenovo, they will launch the new phone in July.
