If you wish to be a good photographer study everything about your digital camera. Study on the basics of photography by attending digital photography tutorials. There are many schools that offer photography courses in India. All you need to do is to enroll yourself and attend it.

Buy a cheap DSLR. Don't bother about buying the most costly DSLR equipment; as soon as you make money from your wedding photography business you can purchase a good DSLR for yourself. A cheap DSLR will do just ok, particularly if you are just trying to study about the basics of photography.

Shoot and Practice

Now that you have your digital camera with you, start taking pictures of anything and anyone. The more you take pictures the more you learn about your camera. The more mistakes you make the better it is for you. The idea is to make them now or never. Request people you know if they can pose for you. That way you would understand how to appropriately pose subjects which is vital if you want to be a good wedding photographer.

Promote

Come up with your website. Use it to promote your wedding photography. Try to do at least 2 free wedding photography assignments and tell the couple that you are doing this to get familiarity of the field. Be honest. Couples in search of a wedding photographer would always request for sample of work and if you don't have something to show, nobody will hire you as their wedding photographer.
