Rise of counterfeits and why it’s still growing

                As enthusiasts of luxury goods and authentic products, this period in our lives is the time to get worried about getting deceived. We take certain pleasure in indulging ourselves with luxury goods. This is why even when the prices get so expensive, we still buy them.

                But there is an increasing amount of incidents where customers get fooled with counterfeit goods. The amount of people deceived by the detailed mimicking of the products is rising. There is even a study that displays the emergence of fake luxury products on Instagram. Sooner or later, if you still haven’t experienced it, we’re bound to get deceived too.

With the amount of fake products in the market, even trusted stores are having a hard time determining which is authentic and which is fake. Chanel, Prada, Estee Lauder and L’Core Paris fake and counterfeit products are being sold online and even found in third-party sellers.

The growing industry of counterfeit goods is attributed to the tactics and strategies that are being used to fool people. In regards to online marketing, there are tools that are being used to lure customers in. Bots or artificial intelligence tools are used to create a noise or build the illusion of credibility of the sellers. Online websites re also created to look like outlet stores on an online platform. This is an effective tactic of fraudulent sellers.

The counterfeit products are created in the image of the authentic ones even into the smallest details. Sometimes the imitations are so good, they could pass as original merchandise of the brand. The design, look and details of the products are primary factors in determining whether merchandise is fake or not. This is why fraudulent organizations or sellers put a lot of effort into details.

                People often get so blinded with illusions of grandeur, that luxury goods provide, which makes them careless in buying products. As consumers, we need to be cautious, critical and knowledgeable.
