Laparoscopic Surgeon In Kolkata Treating Endometriosis

by Jemes Leips Office Interiors

According to the latest medical reports and stats, a large percentage of women are suffering from endometriosis, which has been identified as the major cause for infertility in females. It has been medically explained as a gynecological disorder which initially affects the inner and outer lining of the uterus and then starts to grow abnormally in the other parts of the body as well. It has also been estimated that much of the female health affects their condition during the reproductive years. So they should be very cautious during this time. The endometrium cells multiply themselves very rapidly especially in the reproductive organs where they are largely found. Some of the common symptoms associated with this disease are chronic pelvic pain, very painful periods, and extreme pain in lower abdomen or back, heavy or abnormal menstrual flow, frequent urination and exhaustion.

There is no simple cure for the disease as nobody is completely familiar with this mysterious disease. However, the doctors try to control the symptoms by medical intervention, injecting hormones, surgical procedure and combined treatment. But the drugs and medicines might have negative side effects and many of them may also affect your pregnancy as well. The surgical treatment is considered as the safest treatment for improving the condition of the pelvis by destroying the endometroitic cells and then the ovarian cysts are removed. The most common surgical procedure opted is the laparoscopic surgery which is a conservative process used for diagnosis to treat all the problems related to abdomen. It is performed by specialist known as the laparoscopic surgeon in Kolkata who generally make a small incision about a quarter inch in the lower abdomen just beneath the naval. After this, the abdomen of the patient is inflated with the help of carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide which pulls the walls and the organs are thus clearly visible.

A thin tube like device is inserted into the abdomen which is known as the laparoscope. It is inserted through the small incision to view the exact problem. However, one or two keyholes can also be made for better examination and an additional opening for surgical instruments. It is actually a telescopic instrument through which the surgeon can directly view into the abdomen and the organs such as uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. A lens is attached on the other side of the device and it has a light source for better examination. The output of the camera is viewed on the monitor. Moreover, the equipment is also attached with other surgical devices for taking the tissue samples and ruling out the growth of endometrial cells. The surgeon might use one of the techniques including cutting and removing the tissue or burning it through a high energy heat source. The laser or the electric current is the most common sources. The laparoscopic surgery has been regarded as a highly successful process, safe with no side effects if conducted by an experienced surgeon.
