Speaking of pasta, we must admit that the Italians know something! It is no coincidence that most Italians have shapely bodies. One cup of cooked pasta (without thickening sauces) has only 155 calories and is one of the major sources of starch in our diet.

Fat Loss Program - Studies of the American Institute of Baking show that pasta is rich in six minerals like magnesium, iron and phosphorus. Cook the meat separate from the pasta and generally starchy foods.

The overall conclusion is that taking elevated protein more frequently (6 times per day) further reduces body / abdominal fat and increases muscle tissue and thermogenesis than do 3 meals / day, in overweight. Certainly would be interesting to see also the same research trainees with weights!
