Every Indian man loves wearing kurta pajamas occasionally- mainly to look distinct from the crowd and secondly to feel comfortable with their wearing.

What is the look of a kurta
?
It is a kind of long loose shirt which can go up to or beyond the knees. In the previous times, kurta and pajama were worn by men only but today realizing the huge craze of kurtas among women too, manufacturers now design and prepare unisex kurtas.

You can choose your comfort wear to pair with your kurta. Men generally prefer to wear kurtas with pajamas. But in today’s contemporary world, loose fit salwar pants or eve jeans have also introduced to make teamed with kurtas. So, kurtas can be used comfortably as a formal or informal wear. Due to its extreme comfort factor, many men love to wear a set of kurta pajama as their nightwear.

Youngsters today are bending their interest towards the tradition fashion sense and thus kurta pajama has got its popularity back in the young generation.

The sleeves of kurtas do not go narrow to its ends rather go straight till the wrists. There are some more restrictions to the design patterns for kurtas. They do not have cuffed sleeves. They always have open sides at the ends for offering comfort to the wearer. Although traditional kurtas do not have collars and generally the openings lie on the chest. But the modern kurtas has improvised a bit in this regard, they have Nehru collar.

Fabrics for kurta pajama:
Basically wearer prefers the season to choose fabrics for their clothes. Well, there are a lot of varieties available for kurta pajama fabric in Delhi and other cities. Cotton or silk made kurta pajamas are in demand for the summer season. While in the winter, men like to wear khadi silk, wool or any other heavy materials for their wearing. The other commonly used fabrics include voile, khadi, jute, linen, and kota. But in form, kurtas with pajamas will always look elegant and classy and this will never be off the trend.

Types of kurta:
1. Lucknowi chikan Kurta – the Lucknow Nawabs have popularized the use of Chikan embroidery in the kurta wears.

2. Hyderabadi kurta – the Hyderabadi kurtas include a keyhole opening on neck and the collars include thread works.

3. Bhopali kurta – bhopali kurta has loose pattern and waist pleats, and go straight long below the knees.

4. Punjabi kurta – the straight cut Punjabi kurtas can be the Muktsari kurta, Phulkari kurta, or Bandhani kurta.

5. Sherwani kurta – rich embroidery works on the shiny bright coloured clothes which are generally worn on special occasions like weddings.

6. Pathani kurta – men in north India prefer to wear pathani kurtas with Patiala pants.

7. Multani kurta – crochete work has its origin in Multan.Multani kurtas also include Ajrak prints with round neck, and buttons on one shoulder.

8. Bengali Punjabi kurta – this includes the native kantha embroidery works of Bangladesh and West Bengal.

9. Sindhi kurta – rich and vibrant sindhi kurtas use mirror works and embroideries.

10. Khadi kurta – handwoven khadi kurtas are generally made with cotton, silk, and wool.

All these kurtas can be worn with pajamas to bring a great look for the wearer.
