Kojic Acid Side Effects

Kojic Acid, CAS number 501-30-4, used as food antioxidant. Kojic Acid is accepted as safe food antioxidant in many food products. Kojic Acid is a chelation agent manufactured through extraction and isolation from several species of fungi, available as Almost White Crystalline powder.

General Side Effects

1. Kojic Acid can cause skin irritation when used in cosmetic products. 2. Kojic acid can cause allergic contact dermatitis with continued regular use of cosmetic products containing kojic acid.

Suggested Dosage

As Kojic Acid is widely known as safe, there is no limit on dosage of intake. However, we still recommend consumers to consult professionals before using large quantity of Kojic Acid for long period.

Special Groups Precaution

Special groups refer to newborns, children, pregnant and any other applicable vulnerable groups.
