The use of scaffolding has been on a steady rise over the years and has continuously performed their tasks optimally. However, for them to be efficient enough, they need to be the right one, and if you are hiring them, you will need to do due diligence and research thoroughly. The following factors should be your essential considerations when looking for the right scaffolding to hire.

Scaffolding Rental

Type of Scaffolding to Choose

The first tip is for you to understand your needs well enough to be sure of the scaffolding that you should take. The types may be varied, but providing the right information to a scaffolding rental company will make sure that they get you the fittest. The major categories of scaffolding include:

  • Suspended Scaffolding: - also referred to as a swing stage, suspended scaffolding is used to access hard-to-reach spots of a structure. In this case, a swing stage may be used on buildings with irregular shapes such as triangular, oval, or circular ones. They may also be used for such purposes as repairs and replacements of windows, painting, or cleaning tall buildings.

  • Supported Platform Systems: - this is one of the most common scaffolding types. It usually comes with elevated platforms that may either be wooden or metallic and are held together by poles and frames that make up the structure. The poles are then placed on firm ground.

  • Adjustable Scaffolding: - as the name suggests, these are suspended scaffolding and are easy to adjust according to the height needs. These types have only one platform which can be moved to the level that is needed.

Safety Considerations

Your safety needs should also advise the type and number of structures to get. For example, if you want to hoist a worker on the highest level of a building to repair, replace, or clean windows and panes, a swing stage would be the safest in that case. Additionally, you should ensure to get structures with safety accessories, including:

  • Anti-fall arrest systems
  • Stable and slip-resistant equipment and platforms
  • Guardrails and handrails
  • Complete user manuals

Your Budget

The other key consideration is your operating budget and how much you are willing to stretch it to. If you have a tight budget, ensure to let your scaffolding hire company know beforehand. This will help them to design a fitting package that will still serve you well.
