Arvind Kejriwal Our Chief Minister of Delhi since February 2015 has been vigorously working on resolving the jobs issues in capital city and also taking an effort towards growth and development of our nation. He said various government departments had 35,000 vacancies and that the government was looking at ways to fill those.

 “There are approx. 35,000 vacancies in Delhi within so many government departments and should be filled. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said since the maximum numbers was by the contractual staff who were seeking permanent postings for years now, he would look into the matter without any delay. “I assure you that we have taken note of your complaints. I am asking all departments for data on how many contractual staff they have and why they cannot be made permanent. They will submit a report in a week and I will try to take a decision in a month. You have waited for so many years, give me this much time,” he had said.

Contracted employees working in Delhi may also stand to gain if AAP is voted to power, claims the proposal. “AAP will fill 55,000 vacancies in the Delhi government and self-governing bodies of the Delhi Government on an immediate basis. 4,000 doctors and 15,000 nurses and paramedics will be made permanent,” the party said.

And while Mr. Kejriwal described the manifesto as a sacred document, even comparing it to holy books, opposition parties said the promises were unrealistic and could not be fulfilled in five years.
