So, it is always better to start cleaning as soon as possible or get involved in wet carpet restoration after water damage have taken place. Quick action would prevent its growth under your carpet.

Exposure to mould may create health problems for a few people. It may irritate the eyes, lungs, throat or nose. Moreover, breathing airborne mould can cause symptoms in those people with asthma, fever & allergies. So, you need to get rid of them as soon as possible. The tools that you would need for preventing its growth and drying the water damage are bleach, fans and cleaners. In no way should you allow them to spread. You should follow a few steps that are offered by wet carpet restoration services in order to remain mould free.

Remove water as fast as you can

This is the first and foremost important step. For doing this use a dry/wet vacuum for cleaning up the water. This machine would be the most effective tool for you to remove water from your carpet.

Use a fan for speeding up the carpet drying method

It may take a few days to dry the area that has been completely damaged by water when you are using a fan. However, the best thing is fresh air would be circulated in the room. When you think and feel everything is nice as well as dry inside, don’t switch off the fan at that time because it has still not dried completely. Keep the fan on for at least seven more days.

Make use of a dehumidifier for drying the room

A dehumidifier can remove excess moisture making the air cooler & limiting the growth of mould as well as mildew. Any other equipment, which helps in drying the air & ground, is going to dry the damaged coverings and floor more speedily.

Steam clean the carpet and your flooring

Do this to sanitize as well as deodorize. Make sure to replace your carpet padding that has been damaged by water. Replacing it is a much reasonable affair than re-carpeting the entire home.

So, follow these steps. You would certainly be mould-free and breathe healthy and fresh air in your home!
