KEAM 2016 Entrance Examination

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala Government conducts the Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Entrance Examination for candidates seeking admission in undergraduate engineering courses in various government colleges and government sponsored self financed colleges and private self financed institutions in the state of Kerala. The KEAM 2016 is expected to be conducted in April 2016.

The candidates seeking to pursue undergraduate courses in the relevant field must apply for KEAM Entrance Exam. The admissions will be based on the merit obtained by the candidates both in KEAM 2016 and in the 12th class qualifying examination. The ratio of both the marks will be 50:50 so both the examinations are equally important for admission in the colleges. The candidates will be competing for over 56,000 seats in the state’s best colleges for Engineering, Medical and Agriculture.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have cleared the 12th class qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects and must obtain atleast 20% marks.
• The candidate must be atleast 17 years old on 31st December 2015 to be eligible to apply for KEAM 2016.

Application Process

• The candidate needs to first register with the official KEAM’s website.
• Once the registration process is complete, login to your KEAM account.
• Now, click on the link indicating ‘KEAM Online Registration form’.
• You will now be directed to the KEAM 2016 Application form and can proceed to fill it.
• Make sure you enter valid information while filling the application form. Any failure to do so might result in the rejection of the form.
• The application process will only be complete after the application fee has been paid.
• The application fees for the different categories of candidates is as follows –

1. General – Rs.1000
2. SC/ST – Rs. 500

• The application fees can be paid using a security card or a demand draft.
• Make sure you take a printout of the application form after submitting it.
• The candidates then need to send the application form and supporting documents via post to the Commissioner for Entrance Examination.
• The candidates must make sure they apply for the KEAM 2016 before the due dates which will be officially announced by the CEE shortly.
