Government of Karnataka will be conducting the KARTET or Karnataka Eligibility Test on 27 September 2015. As per the allocation of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act, The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has laid down the minimum qualifications for an individual to appear in the KARTET 2015 exam. Through this exam, candidates will gain eligibility and will be appointed as government teachers in classes I to VIII.

The minimum qualification for a candidate to become eligible in order to be appointed as a teacher is given below:

1. The national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process would be brought down.

2. This would initiate better improved standards of teacher and students in the institutions.

3. A positive signal would be sent to all the stakeholders emphasizing on the fact that Government focuses on teacher quality.

Schedule of KARTET 2015 Examination:

1. Paper I will be held on 27 September 2015 for a duration of two and a half hours.

2. Paper II will be conducted on the same date with same time maturation but at different timings.

Validity period of KARTET 2015 Certificate:

The validity of this certificate stands up to 7 years from the date of declaration of the KARTET 2015 result for all the categories. There are no restrictions for a person in regard to the number of attempts done by him or her so as to gain this certificate. The person gaining this certificate can also appear again so as to improve his or her score.

Release of KARTET admit card:


The admit card that will allow you to appear in the KARTET 2015 exam has already been released at the KARTET’s official website. If there is any kind of discrepancy found or issue is faced then the concerned person must immediately contact KARTET for necessary correction along with his or her admit card and Confirmation Page.

Copy of OR sheet or Answer Key:


The applicant can also obtain the photocopy of their OR Sheet / Answer Key. To get it, you are required to pay a fees of Rs.500/- per paper which has to be paid through a Demand Draft in the favour of “Special Officer CAC, Bangalore” on any Nationalized Bank which is payable at BANGALORE.

The person who qualifies the KARTET exam will be sent the eligibility Certificate will be sent by Speed Post. The statement of KARTET marks will be sent to the candidates by Post.
