The most preferred fabric for designer and luxury wear is silk. Silk is such a fabric on which different cuts and prints look elegant.

What is silk

It is one of the earliest fibers discovered by mankind apart from cotton, hemp, linen and wool. It is a fibroin consisting of protein secreted by a caterpillar as a single filament also called ‘silkworm’. Silkworms spin cocoons around themselves which act as a protective cover for them. During the life cycle of a silkworm, the cocoon stage is selected by man to obtain silk, having a high commercial value and weave it into dream outfits.
