JEE Main 2016 Exam - Complete Information
JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam will be conducted in April 2016 by Central Board of Secondary Education in collaboration with JEE. CBSE will also release the information brochure in November 2015. The exam will be conducted in online as well as offline mode at various centres across India. Qualified candidates will be offered admission in NITs, CFTIs etc.
JEE Main 2016 Eligibility Criteria
CBSE has laid down certain minimum eligibility requirements which the applicants must fulfil in order to apply and to be eligible to take the Entrance Exam of JEE 2016. The minimum eligibility requirements are mentioned as below:
The applicant must have passed class XII or equivalent qualifying examination with at least five subjects
He /she must have born on or after 1st October, 1990 applicants. However, upper age limit is relaxed up to 5 years for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), i.e. Such candidates must have born on or after 1st October, 1985.
He /she must have passed the standard XII final examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in the year 2013 or 2014 only
As per the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria, only three attempts of JEE Main are allowed per candidate.
JEE Main 2015 Application
Form
The Application Form of JEE Main 2016 will be issued in November 2014 on the official website of CBSE and JEE Main 2015 as well. No other mode for application is applicable except the online mode. Eligible candidates must fulfil the JEE Main 2016 Application form to be eligible to take the JEE Main Exam and pay the prescribed application fees.
JEE Main 2015 Application Fees
Application fee can be remitted via online or offline mode.
Online payment mode applicable is payment via Net Banking/Debit cards/ Credit Cards
Offline mode applicable is payment via e-challan
Candidates opting to appear for the Entrance Exam of JEE Main 2014 in offline mode will have to remit Rs. 1000/- as the application fee while those willing to appear online are required to remit Rs.600/- towards JEE Main 2015 application fee.
JEE Main 2016 Admit Card
JEE Main 2015 Admit Card will be available on the official website from March 2015 onwards. Candidates will have enter their details like their JEE Main application number and Date of Birth to download Admit Card of JEE Main 2015. Candidates must carry their admit card to the exam centre on the day of JEE Main 2016 Exam.
JEE Main 2016 Admission Process
The admission are offered to the qualified candidates on the basis of JEE Main 2016 Rank list which is formulated considering the weightage of normalized qualifying examination marks and JEE Main 2015 Score of the candidates in 60% & 40% weightage respectively.
