JEE Main Exam, Application Form - Check Here
JEE Main Entrance Exam known as Joint Entrance Examination is the Tier 1 JEE Examination conducted by JEE in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam will tentatively be held in April 2016. The brochure of the exam will be released by CBSE in November 2015. The JEE Main exam will be held via both online and offline mode at various centres across the cities all over India. The meritorious candidates will be admitted into the undergraduate courses in the most prestigious institutes of the country.
JEE Main scorecard will be issued by CBSE to the all the candidates. The JEE Main 2016 scorecard of the qualified candidates will be also considered by many state universities and private institutes to offer admission to qualified candidates in the undergraduate course in the engineering streams.
JEE Main Selection Process - The selection is done on the basis of normalised marks obtained by formulating the JEE Main score and class XII marks of the candidates in the ratio of 60:40 respectively
JEE Main 2016 Eligibility Criteria -
To be eligible to apply and sit in the exam, the applicants must fulfil certain minimum eligibility requirements as per the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria. The minimum eligibility criteria are mentioned as below:
· The applicant must have studied at least five subjects in class XII or equivalent exam in order to be eligible.
· Applicants must have born on or after 1st October, 1990 ( 1985 for SC/ST/PwD applicants) However, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. such candidates must have born on or after 1st October, 1984 are eligible
· Applicants must have passed class XII examination or any equivalent qualifying Examination in 2013 or 2014 .
· As per the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria, a candidate can avail at the most three attempts of the JEE Main.
JEE Main Application Form
Eligible candidates as per the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria will have to fill the JEE Main 2015 Application Form to be able to take the JEE Main 2016 . The Application Form will be released in November 2014 and will be available for a period of 5 weeks on the official website of CBSE.The application form will not be available via any other mode. Candidates would be given an approximate time of five weeks to fill the form.
JEE Main Application Fees
· All the applicants will have to pay the prescribed application fee via online or offline mode. The application is incomplete without application fee. Online payment mode includes – Net Banking/Debit cards/ Credit Cards and offline mode includes payment of fee using e-challan at the bank
· Candidates who will opt to appear JEE Main exam in offline mode will have to pay Rs. 1000/- as the application fee while candidates willing to appear through online mode will have to pay Rs.600/- towards application fee.
JEE Main Result Declaration 2016 -
CBSE will declare the Result of JEE Main in two phases described as below -
1. JEE Main Score Card 2016
In the 1st phase, CBSE will issue JEE Main 2016 Result card on its official website around May 2016. Candidates will be able check the result and download the their score card using their JEE Main 2016 Roll number, application number or Date of Birth.
2. JEE Main AIR (All India Rank)
In the 2nd phase, CBSE will issue JEE Main 2016 Rank card tentatively around July 2016. The Rank card disclosed the JEE Main AIR, Categorical Rank obtained by the candidates based on their respective JEE score. The Rank is assigned to the candidates on the basis of 60:40 weightage criteria applied on the JEE Main score and class 12th scores obtained by the candidates respectively.
