by Chandan Singh BloggerAspirants of JEE waiting for the final result of JEE Main 2014, most prestigious entrance exam of the country, to be declared in the form of JEE Main 2014 Rank list on 7th July 2014 will get to download the rank list from the official website of JEE. JEE have notified that this year onwards JEE Main 2014 Result cum scorecard and Rank card will not be dispatched to the candidates personally at their respective address so candidates are advised to visit the official website of JEE or CBSE to download the Rank card.

JEE Main 2014 entrance test was conducted
through online and offline mode and the JEE Main 2014 Result cum score card and
the Common Merit list was published by CBSE on 2nd May 2014. Over 14 Lakhs candidates appeared in the test
which was held at 150 centres across the country. This year around 30,000 more
candidates appeared for the test compared to last year which is a rise of 6.5
percent
JEE Main 2014 All India Rank
JEE Main All India Rank will be accounted for offering admissions through Central Counseling Board to NIT s/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others. JEE Main 2014 All India Rank list will disclose the rank assigned to all the candidates who have qualified in the entrance test and the Ranks will be formulated keeping in account two important parameters which is JEE Main score obtained by the candidate and the normalized qualifying examination marks of the candidate in the weightage 60: 40 respectively.
Note - JEE Main 2014 All India Rank list will disclose the All India Rank, State Rank and Categorical Rank with total marks and marks in each paper secured by the candidates. The State rank and Category rank will be accounted for the admission on the basis of state quota and category seats.
JEE Main 2014 Counselling and Seat Allotment
JEE Main 2014 Counselling will be conducted after the declaration of JEE Main 2014 Merit list to offer seats to the qualified candidates in the test and whose names have been shortlisted in the final merit list for admissions in all the NIT s/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs and Others. The JEE Main Counselling will be organized by the CBSE and CSAB (Central Board of Seat Allocation) in various stages in which the final admission is to be confirmed physically by the candidates.
In the counselling organized by Central Seat Allocation Board and CBSE, the candidates who have been assigned the JEE Main 2014 All India Rank on 7th July 2014 will have to register themselves on the official website of JEE Main 2014 or CBSE after which they will be required to lock their choices of colleges and branch of study priority wise. After choice locking is done, the 1st round of seat allotment will be published. There will be 3 rounds of seat allotment overall. The candidates will be allotted seats keeping in consideration the availability of seats and the choices locked by the candidates. On getting the seat allotted, the candidates will have to confirm the seat by making payment of the Initial Fee online. After Initial Fee Payment, Candidates will have to personally report at any one of the Reporting Centres (RC) as per his/her convenience to get the final admission.
