JEE Advanced 2015 Counselling will be conducted by JOSAA

JEE Advanced 2015 Counselling is conducted by the board for allotting the seat to the candidates those who have qualified the JEE Advanced exam. Counselling is conducted by JoSAA. Joint Seat allocation Authority will be responsible for conducting the counselling and allotting the seat in IITs and ISM as well. Candidates will be able to take admission in IITS all over the country. Seat will be allotted as per the reservation norms, options entered by the candidates, vacancies in institutes, merit of candidate, etc. In this article we have provides various details for JEE Advanced Counselling 2015 so that candidates can gather all the required details and do not have to face any hurdle while attending the counselling round.

Unlike previous year, JEE Advanced Counselling will be conducted by JoSAA. It is formed by the joint representatives from JAB and CSAB. JoSAA will be conducting all the processes for the seat allotment. There are various rounds in the counselling process. Candidates will have to go through all the rounds otherwise they will not be able to get a seat. Counselling round starts with online registration of the candidate. In this step candidates have to register themselves so that they can attend the complete counselling process. Other steps in counselling includes choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, document verification, etc. The complete counselling process has been elaborated below.

Online Registration:

It is the most important step for JEE Advanced 2015 Counselling. Candidates will have to first register themselves for the counselling process otherwise they will not be able to attend the other counselling processes. In this process candidates will have to visit the website and register themselves by entering the details required there. A UID will be generated which must be kept safe by the candidates as it will be required for further logging in.

Online Choice Filling:

As the name suggests, in this round candidates will have to provide their options for the colleges and courses. These options must be in order of decreasing priority. In other words, the most preferred option must be filled first. These options are considered in JEE Advanced 2015 Counselling for seat allotment therefore it is necessary to choose these options very carefully. To enter their choices, candidates will have to login to the website and provide their options. These options can be changes or edited any number of times before locking them finally. Once the choices has been locked no further amendments will be possible. If incase candidate does not locks their choices, then their choices will be locked automatically.

Seat Allotment:


Now seat allotment is done on the basis of options entered by them. Various other factors like vacancy in institute, reservation norms, etc will also be considered at the time of seat allotment. JEE Advanced 2015 Counselling also required to verify the documents of the candidates in order to confirm the allotted seat. Required documents are:

1. JEE Advanced 2015 Seat Allotment letter;
2. JEE Advanced 2015 Original Admit card;
3. JEE Advanced 2015 Application Form;
4. Duly filled Medical Examination Report;
5. Proof of Date of Birth;
6. Class XII/SSC/Equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing;
7. Category Certificate;
8. For the foreign national candidates: Attested photocopy of the page in the passport containing the name, photo and nationality.
