is your brain set on QWERTY?

Image Hey there, Friends...

  • Ever wonder why our keyboards are so weird?

I mean, it's a little weird that the letters we use most when we type...

E, T, and O, for example...

Are ones we have to REACH for, instead of being on the middle row.

Right?...

Makes no sense.

Well...

Come to find out, the reason this is so has nothing to do with tying speed at all.

And everything to do with OBSOLETE technology.

You see, when the QWERTY keyboard was developed, the typewriter had just been invented!

They actually started with the keys arranged like the alphabet...

But because of the design of typewriters at the time, the metal bar keys typists used most kept STICKING and jamming when they were too close together.

So, they re-arranged the board until the metal keys hitting the paper stopped sticking.

Smart.

Except...

Today, even though there are (obviously) no longer any metal bars that would "stick" on our computers...

We're still stuck with this weird keyboard!

It is totally inefficient...

But we keep using it...

Because of INERTIA.

Basically, we've been using the QWERTY keyboard so long, it's hardwired into our culture.

It's too hard to do a "u" turn and change it at this point.

Strangely enough...

This is exactly like what happens to your brain when you KNOW you should be making more money than you are...

But for some reason, you keep bringing in the same amount, month after month.

The problem, once again, is simple inertia...

Over the years, your brain has become hard-wired to make a certain amount...

And no matter how much you WANT to break out of this out-dated pattern...

It seems like it's almost "glued" in place.

Hard to re-arrange as a keyboard ;-)

But...

What if ?!...

And it only took 10 minutes?

Fortunately, there is.

And you can do it today.

And start enjoying the benefits as soon as tomorrow.

Unlike poor old QWERTY...

Which, sad to say, will probably be the keyboard the first message from Mars is typed on...

Yep...

We can fly to another planet, but we can't change our keyboards!  HA!  ;-)

BAM,
- Marius
