iPhone 7 to have dual camera, natural image outputs
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone in about a
month’s time, and while we already know a bit about what to expect, we’re still
as anxious as it gets. So, what do we know so far? For starters, we know for a
fact that we can expect some major innovation in the iPhone 7’s photography
capabilities; we also have an idea about some of the hardware improvements.
While design-wise it is expected to be similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S,
expectations are still high in terms of performance. Whether users are game for
it or not, Apple loyalists are expected to make the switch, with some non-iOS
users expected to be itching to make the switch, with their content transfer
apps and transfer cables ready.
So what are some of the details we already know about? First
off, we know that the iPhone 7 and its S companion would most likely have dual
cameras. Another design change expected on the iPhone 7 is a new, re engineered
Home button that would be more responsive to pressure; one that would respond
by a light vibration rather than a physical click. Moreover, it has also been
confidently speculated that the iPhone 7 wouldn’t have an audio jack; users
would be using the device’s lighting port. Appearance-wise, the iPhone 7 is
going to retain the 4.7 inch and 5.5-inch screen form factors, but remove the
two innermost antenna lines on the device.
Leading experts like SmartIO do explain that, the presence of dual cameras on the iPhone 7 is expected to
produce better, brighter photos, with more detail. How it works is that both
sensors would capture color differently, and take a picture simultaneously.
Much like how the human eye works, the two sensors would produce a single,
merged photograph which is as close to the actual imagery as possible. The
combination of the output of the two sensors would also allow users to zoom in,
while retaining clarity.
Judging from the timing of release, the iPhone 7’s sales are
expected to be critical for Apple during the holiday quarter. Even though no
major design overhauls are expected until next year, Apple is counting a lot on
the iPhone 7.
