Invisalign Takes the First Step in Global Expansion By Opening Regional Office in Dubai

Following the expansion of big dental companies like AMDC, Invisalign announced its plans for global expansion starting with opening an office in Dubai this year. Invisalign, a subsidiary of Align Technology Inc., specializes in custom aligners that are used for straightening teeth without having to use braces.

 

According to the Vice President of Align Technology, Simon Beard, the orthodontic sector of the Middle East has been growing rapidly and steadily in the last few years. This was due to the growing demand for higher quality dental healthcare services in the country. With this sharp rise in demand, many practising Dentists in Dubai have been opening up more Dental Clinics in Dubai to serve the increasing demand.

 

“The Middle East region is a rapidly growing and evolving region and we are excited to be establishing dedicated resources to support that growth and extend our leadership in clear aligners and digital orthodontics. The Invisalign system, with unique features such as SmartForce features and SmartStage technology designed to achieve more predictable tooth movements, can help dental professionals achieve great clinical results and deliver comfortable, convenient, transformative treatment experiences to their patients.” Simon Beard mentioned.

Since the year 2016, the orthodontic sector in the Middle East already reached a value of $266 million with a forecasted 8.6% growth by the year 2021, as per data of Market Data Forecast. In fact, Research and Markets forecasted that the market will grow to $5.9 billion by the year 2023. With this trend, Invisalign aims to establish its brand as the top provider of clear aligners and digital orthodontics. This will give customers more alternatives to the usual teeth straightening process.

 

As dental implants and braces in Dubai are becoming more popular, Invisalign hopes to penetrate the market as an alternative to the process. Their aligners may also be a good alternative to the traditional Veneers in Dubai.

General Manager of Invisalign Mawlid Chaoui stated that UAE and Saudi Arabia, in particular, have had very high rises in their respective orthodontic sectors. With this, Dubai became its first target.

According to Chaoui, “Having an established presence in Dubai will enable us to provide direct support and ongoing clinical education to our growing customer base of Invisalign providers and help establish the Invisalign system as a leading treatment of choice in the region.”

This venture was made to further strengthen its position and cater to more customers around the world. Invisalign plans to ride on the growth with its innovative products and extensive knowledge in the industry.
